Really quite alright

I've seen some horrible flashes in my day, and this most definitely is not one of them. There's animation here that although not exactly spectacular, isn't horrible either. You put more effort into this than I did for my "NG Rules" series which was basically one big motion tween.

Also, the message at the end, though a little dark, shows that there was at least some thought into this to make a joke. I'm not going to rate this high because it's not fantastic, but as far as spam goes, this is pretty much some awesome stuff.

Well done on getting turd!

gumOnShoe, it is always a pleasure.

Gum, it has been too long. A pleasure as always!
------------------

I've only listened to the first episode so far. Sorry I haven't listened to more so far, but it's all I've had time for (and will probably stick around for).

It's a good job overall. The voices are crisp and clear, and the sound effects blend in quite nicely with the rest of the sound. But lines like, "But you didn't hit his vitals on that last one" seem to be a bit un-necessary (I understand that the character seems to have a penchant for detail, but it just seems... odd). What I love about radio shows are that they leave the details up to the imagination. For the most part the program succeeds at that, but there are a few times when it seems to be a bit ridiculous. It's an odd mix.

The opening was by far the most effective part, because we can't be sure exactly how true the whole thing is -- especially after we hear the discussion between the two men regarding his religious fanaticism. It works well.

Good work, shoe! (Just an fyi -- don't expect me to stick around here as an active type. I may be checking in now and then, but I won't ever be as I was -- I will check my PMs though. Cheers!)

And of course I took longer to respond to this review than I should have. I hope you found the time to listen to the rest of the episodes or at the least enjoyed the first.

If I ever try this again I will have to do better with the dialogue. A lot of it is cool, but it comes off better when you are reading it than perhaps how it was acted or we just didn't know how to correctly express the characters.

Anyways, I hope you're still checking in from time to time and you get to see this.

Regards as always.

Enjoyable.

I'm still playing through this, so I can't exactly call this a complete review -- but from what I've seen, it's amazing. :D

For starters, the moving and aiming system work together well (move with W, S, A, and D, shoot by pointing and clicking), and I was surprised at how easy it was to pick up. The graphics are just fine for a top-down game like this -- the people don't look too amazing (the character you play as included), but the environments are surprisingly detailed, including the little scraps of paper you walk over during the course of the first level (as an example).

The music was awesome. I happen to be a huge fan of MaestroRage here on Newgrounds, so I was smiling even though the song is sort of down and you're killing people.

My largest problem with it was the menu, which didn't really tell you when you'd pressed a selection -- for example, when I pressed a different crosshair button, it changed the crosshair, but didn't have any sound or something confirming I'd pressed the button -- normally a clicky sound would be a nice touch. :P

It was a great job -- and I look forward to the next installment. :D

Thanks for the wonderful review!

Impossible Fun.

This is one of the higher quality platformers I've seen on Newgrounds... the only problem being, that this game is the closest thing I've seen in awhile to impossible -- just, it's still playable. Barely.

The controls are responsive, and though I don't exactly enjoy pressing "R" everytime I have to restart (which is quite often), it's alright.

I think the amount of traps in this game are just insane -- the worst are the falling tiles, which come with almost no warning and almost all the time. The game should have some way of warning players that a giant tile is about to splatter their heads before they jump onto a platform.

The sound quality for death is very good -- which is an incredibly good thing, considering how often it happens. The loop in the background is standard -- it's not the best, but it sticks with you after you finish playing the game.

Overall, a great effort -- just next time, make it easier for us? :P

PenguinBomb responds:

Ty for the compliments and Idk about making it easier it might lose some of the premise of the game, but I'll probably ease up a little so people don't get so angry at it. You've also given me the best suggestion I've heard so far about not having to hit "r" every time you die, so I'll definetly incorporate that into the sequels.

Time-waster that makes you want to... kill!

My God! How much time can people spend? I'm not sure, but people are insane if they go through it all?

*glances at self*

Um... anyways - I found this as one of the 'funnest' and 'annoyingist' games I've ever played, all in ONE! wow! this was truely... erm... good?

You spent time on this - who else would create millions of... buttons? I fouond it easier though to cheat at some points, with the beautiful... right click button.

You should disable the right click menu.

Although, I was confused when I'd press a button, the screen moved off to the right. Then, I couldn't see the game at all...

Oh well...

IWantSomeCookies responds:

In Button Clicker: Extreme, right-click and TAB button will be disabled.

Also, there was a bug on that button, very sorry.. thats the annoying thing >:(

Letter Fun!

You have a generally good idea and game going here - however.... a few things to point out:

#1 - The E's sort of looked like lower case f's or t's - I was pressing the wrong keys a few times, because of the "uber" cool graphics, that messed up the E's.

#2 - It became sort of repetitive, as it just started to display the same letter. I'd suggest changing it up a bit, as it becomes a bit... dull after awhile.

#3 - You should of made it harder - maybe make it "rain" letters, and randomm ones at that.

AcidDimensions responds:

I review your review:

I like the way you get your summary and positive appraisal over and done with, then give your constructive crit, broken up nicely.

Constructive criticism is the most helpful bit, I feel, yet it's often missed out in a review.

I don't share opinion #1. However, it remains your opinion and it's useful for me to know you've thought that. I'd certainly bear it in mind in future and try to ensure the same didn't happen again.

point #2 is almost confusing. Are you criticising the fact that I only used 6 letters? Or the fact that the letters in a specific level are always the same? Or maybe the level made up of 'A's got on your tits, proverbially speaking? I'd assume the former, but it'd be nice if you'd clarified that.

You close with a suggestion, which is almost a '2-in-1'.

If this review was on sale at a Bakers, it'd be a tasty fruit loaf, on a special sale. (Baked freshly of course.)

6.5/10

Nice work!

I have to admit, this was actually an entertaining little fun game - a rare site now adays!

At first, I couldn't figure out where my guy was. He had run way to the right side of the map. A small little glitch there.

However, once I figured out what I was doing, it became rather entertaining... I only got up to 100 and something...

But great job!

RadLab responds:

Thank you :)
I'll try to correct this glitch soon. ;)

Nice work!

This photoshop tutorial is actually much needed for me. I can never figure out what the heck I'm doing with photoshop...

Anyhow, I especially liked the signature photo part of this.

However, the buttons got me confused. The "Che Guevara" thing - was that part of "photo"?

Anyhow, nice submission!

kdlod responds:

Thanks, If their is anymroe you need to know just email me (kd@skate2day.com) and say , ask anything im happy to help. And yeh the button was that it was a bad design idea from me :S .
Thanks for the review!

Very nice job!

Right from the credits in the beggining - you know it's good.

Then, we can expiriment with all the tools.

This is just what I need! Thank you! *adds to favorites*

Jack-Mace responds:

I dont know how... sorry :(

*Shortened Review* - Sorry! (Nice Job!)

Alright, I actually liked this submissino out of its sheer stupidity - a ninja on a floating skateboard, firing a gun at little children... lol

The classic stupidness made this submission great!

se1zure responds:
